Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What is the average time I should allow for online students to take the exam?

A: Typically the dates assigned for online students start on the same day as the in-class section and the dates range from 3 to 7 days. You might want to make sure that there is a weekend within your exam timeline. This way, students who work long hours during the week are covered.

Page Summary
The VIEW ANNOUNCEMENTS page displays all posted announcements for your currently active course (double-check TERM & COURSE SELECTOR). The ANNOUNCEMENTS OVERVIEW box on top contains a quick summary of how many announcements you have posted so far and how many of them currently are unavailable to your students, because you set the AVAILABILITY DATE to a date in the future.

From this page you may >> Add, Edit Or Remove An Announcement

List Viewing Types:
You may change the way your announcements are displayed by choosing between:

  •  Flat List simply displays all your announcements in chronological order. You can change the order as you like by clicking on any of the underlined column titles.

  •  Grouped by Topic means, you will see your announcements grouped together if they have the same topic. Each topic is grouped in an expandable and collapsible list. Topic groups with only a single item will appear expanded by default. Items with no topic assigned will also be grouped together.

Detailed Description of Announcement List Columns:
Some announcements in the list may have the following icon  prior to the announcement name, meaning these announcements are NOT AVAILABLE TO YOUR STUDENTS yet. In order to change that click on the EDIT button next to the individual announcement and modify the AVAILABILITY DATE to the current or any preferred date.

  • Announcement: This is where the title of your announcement is displayed along with your description if you choose to input one.

  • File: If your announcement has a file attached you will view an icon displayed here. Click the icon to view or download the attachment. Note: Not every announcement will have a file attached to it.

  • Topic: Only appears in the FLAT LIST view. This section displays the TOPIC of your announcement if you choose to input one.

  • Last Updated: This column displays the date and time the announcement was last updated by you.
